Cahtrina is an ABC certified wedding planner and event designer with a bachelor's degree in Theatre Design and Production from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. When planning events from start to finish, Cahtrina considers every little detail to make each event unique and unforgettable.
Cahtrina began "Gifts by Trina" as a gift basket and diaper cake company in 2009 but shifted gears in 2010 to focus on event planning. With the shift, Cahtrina considered changing the name of her business but opted not to considering “gifts” as a synonym for her talent.
Cahtrina has always been the family baker, making delicious cakes and cookies for the holidays. In 2012, she took on a job in a local grocery store bakery and was trained in basic cake decorating skills. In just 6 months she became the backup cake decorator for that bakery. Cahtrina built on that foundation and self-taught additional cake decorating skills and dipped sweets.
Cahtrina's experience includes, but is not limited to, the planning, coordinating, and designing of weddings, and other special events. As well as the baking and decorating of custom cakes, cupcakes and chocolate dipped sweets.

No two events are the same. There are many factors that affect the price of décor such as guest count and special requests. To obtain an accurate quote please email to schedule a consultation.
Yes, I do travel. At this time travel is only offered for a drivable distance. There is an additional fee to travel.
You can book your event as soon as you have a date set. It's always better to book your events far in advance if possible. I recommend booking your event no less than 2 months in advance and your wedding no less than 8 months in advance. Events booked at the last minute are subject to rush fees.
Weddings are my favorite type of event. I am a hopeless romantic and I enjoy seeing my couples happy and worry free.
I've always loved gatherings. As a child I looked forward to holidays because it was one of the few times where I would get to spend time with my whole family. As I grew older I realized that I could help bring people together more often if there were more events for them to gather for. I began planning events in high school as an excuse to spend more time with my loved ones. I also served on the prom committee in high school. When I had my first child in 2009 his birthday parties started my portfolio then friends and family then began asking me to plan their events as well.
